RUBANS HERAUD has been founded in 1966 in the area of Saint Etienne, historically dedicated region to the production of tapes and trimmings.
We are one of the leading cies for manufacturing and distribution of accessories to decorate a window. Our ranges of braids, trimmings and curtain tiebacks are created in our workshops and meet strong quality control requirements.
We as well provide an offer of windorods, expandable rods, and no-drill spring rods, selected by our designer.
Our core business nevertheless remains tapes ,of which we control full production processes:
Weaving
The heart of our business is based upon producing narrow tapes intended for home furnishing ,haberdashery, manufacturing and packaging.
Our unit consists of 70 weaving machines ,enabling a yearly production of 15 million meters.
We assert the position of french leader for the production of tapes intended for curtain manufacturing ,commonly known as “Ruflette”.
We produce all types of tapes for French and European markets; curtain tapes, tapes for blinds, buckrams, tapes for eyelets, twill tape, satin, velvet, gros-grain…
As a way to ensure a quality of weaving complying with European standards ,our tapes are “Oeko-tex” certified. We work with European and Asian yarn manufactuers, which guarantee us a full traceability troughout the production and the processing chain.
Transformation of products
Our cie is equipped with a pool of performing machines enabling to carry out transformation operations: screen-printing, gluing, laser or ultrasound cutting.
Our packaging plant ,fully automated ,alows us to offer a wide variety of packaging: haberdashery or industrial spools ,cuttings ,unwinder box ,folded in layers.
The flexibility of our organization enables us to provide concrete and optimale solutions to take into account your manufacturing cosiderations .
Dyeing and Finishing
Most of our tapes are woven with greige yarns ,and need some futher processing steps: finishing or dyeing.
The compacting consists in a process similar to ironing a textile fabric, to make it smooth and nice looking. The finishing gives it stiffness ,in relation with its end-use.
Dyeing is done by colorists ,able to reproduce a large predetermined range ,or to work with Pantone and RAL colours.
We also provide commission dyeing on any type of narrow tapes from 3 to 100 mm width.
